Feeling 101% at Buffet 101

Filipinos love food. But this restaurant takes unlimited food to an entire different level.

I have always enjoyed food. Eating has been more than just a hobby, it became a passion. When I came here in Cebu I had always been on search on the perfect food trip ❤.

Here comes Buffet 101 International Cuisine!

Located at City Time Square in Mandaue City, Buffet 101 is the go to buffet area for those who want to eat their hearts out and feel relaxed with the ambiance of the dinner area.

Reservation

My first impression was it is the same with the other buffets I tried. There was a line on people wanting to get in. Luckily my team reserved a table ahead since it was obvious that Friday and Weekends have the most number of diners. In the event that you do forget to make a reservation, the line isn’t that long to wait, and, some thing’s are worth waiting for ❤

Prices and Promos

Price range from 599 to 799; Lunch and dinner cost are different. Prices vary as well for weekdays, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. Left over price is 999 so in case you’re planning to get a lot food on your plate, make sure you can finish what you get ☺

Buffet 101 also treats their guests to a free meal when they bring a couple of friends or family to go with them on their birth month. This is same with other buffet restaurants such as Vikings and Yakimix.

The mini stage is used by employees to perform. A plus for those celebrating their birthdays, they have a cool sing and dance number done by their staff.

My plate count for this dinner was 8. The most number of rounds I ever had for a buffet.

I started with the meat and poultry station. They offered a wide range of choices to your liking. I personally suggest the Roasted Pork loin. It was a perfect balance of sweet and salty making the meat melt in your mouth. It’s best paired with the baked potatoes. I didn’t get a photo of the baked potatoes but the potato marble was also very delicious you should definitely try it!

I walked over to the fish station. The live cooking of seafood was amazing. You can see how fresh their fish are, and for shrimp and some other seafood, you can point what you want and they catch and cook it immediately from the aquarium.

There is also a western station where nachos, pizza and other dishes can be found. Pastas, salads and other snacks are also available. A Filipino Station was set up for all your favorite pinoy dishes, from Kare-kare to nilaga :)

To those who wants a vegetable treat, make sure to get the eggplant and chopsuey. I had seconds of those (laughs)

The Asian station is where you can find dimsum, ramen; sushi and other entrees are served. Even though I’m allergic to seafood I truly can’t resist the tray of sushi ❤

And of course, there is always room for dessert ❤

From the chocolate fountain, ice cream, fruits and candies, cakes, and shakes! This is one station that I enjoyed the most ❤ I’m out of words, you can just look at the pictures yourselves.

Last, but definitely not the least, UNLI BEER!!!

You read it right, you can get as many glasses of draft beer as you want for free! If you also want to know the best dishes Buffet 101 has to offer, look at your place mat, it has all the entrees and deserts you need to cross out on your Buffet 101 experience.

Because of allergies to seafood and lack of tummy space, sadly I failed to complete this checklist. :( I’ll comeback for you next time! HAHA

Final Verdict

I honestly liked the dinner experience. Food was great, ambiance was great, the chairs were comfy and the service was okay.

I’m not sure for some, but maybe the fast and speedy clean up of plates by waiters can sometimes be nice and also not nice. It keeps the table clean; however, it can disturb other customers who are still eating and even those who sit beside them.

Price wise, it is expensive when you compare to other buffets. Also, the birthday promo is not like the buy 1 take 1 deal like from other buffets. You need additional 2 guests to avail the free one.

But even with the minor issues, I’m definitely coming back to get at Buffet 101 again. I just wish they have the mango shake next time ;) All in all, I had a great time, money well spent.
